Brazilian internationals Neymar and Paulo Ganso were inspired move as they led Santos to an 8-0 victory over Bolivar in the Copa Libertadores Round of 16.
Trailing 2-1 after the first leg in La Paz, Bolivia, Neymar and Ganso both struck twice in a devastating hour of football that sent the Bolivians back home roundly beaten.
Former Manchester City midfielder Elano leveled the match on aggregate before Neymar recorded his 105th Santos goal from the penalty spot.
Ganso made it 3-0 to Santos on the night and 4-2 on aggregate with a cheeky back heel from a Neymar cross before Alan Karec added the Brazilian side's fourth of the night.
Neymar completed his brace just before half time as his side put 5 past the hapless Bolivians inside the opening 45 minutes.
Neymar's 106th goal for the club saw him become the highest goal scorer for Santos in the post-Pele era.
After the break, Santos picked up where they left off with Elano adding his second of the night after yet more good build up play from Neymar.
The Brazilian star was also involved in the 8th and final goal but before that, Ganso curled in a delightful free kick from the edge of the box with just 52minutes gone on the clock.
Borge wrapped up the scoring on the hour mark, finishing off a move from just inside the penalty area.
8-0 it finished on the night and 9-2 on aggregate with Neymar scoring twice and getting five assists as the defending champions put down a marker for all the other teams in the competition.
