Brazil 2014 Squad Watch: Ramires helps Chelsea to final
Wednesday, 25th April 2012 at 08:24am
BARCELONA, SPAIN: Brazil and Chelsea midfielder Ramires scored a stunning goal in first half injury time that helped the Blues eliminate Champions League holders Barcelona and progress to the Champions League final.
Trailing 2-0 and down to 10 men thanks to John Terry's knee to Alexis Sanchez, Ramires was played in on the Barcelona goal and imperiously lofted the ball over Victor Valdes to put Chelsea ahead in the tie.
It was an evening of mixed fortunes for the Brazilian international as his second half booking ensured that he will be suspended for the final in Munich against Real Madrid or Bayern Munich.
